Yahoo Mails deleted during Oulook sync

Oct 17, 2012 3:04AM PDT

Hi All,

I've recently set up the POP yahoo account and configured MS-Outlook 2007. I was happy to see all my mails in outlook.

I recently noticed, i had forgotten to check the copy of the mails in the server. Due to that all my mails ( nearly 10K ) got vanished and moved to outlook mailbox. Now, i am afraid i may not be able to access the mails in remote locations.

After searching through Google, I noticed it can be done by forwarding multiple mails at single shot to yahoo.but it would look clumpsy in a single mail.

Is there any possible ways to get my mails back to the yahoo server ?

Thanks in advance.

Retreived copy from yahoo trash
Oct 17, 2012 3:03PM PDT

Thanks Bob.

I agree its not a bug and designed to work in the way it is.

Lately after posting the thread, i found a copy of the mails in my Yahoo trash box. I hope during the sync to outlook, all the deleted mails from yahoo inbox are pushed to its trash.

So, i enabled the checkbox to leave a copy in server and moved all the trash mails back to yahoo inbox and hence got my mails back.

yahoo outlook 2007 sync problems
Jul 29, 2013 11:20AM PDT

I have similar problem. after syncing outlook 2007 to yahoo, all my emails from yahoo account got deleted (or moved) but I have it on my outlook inbox. very unhappy. poorly designed. surely people would like to access email from other PC so that original emails should be in server.

please advise how to enable the checkbox to leave a copy in server?

Given how seasoned Outlook 2007 users are.

Wouldn't that open up the options to click or check that box?

If they don't know their app, could this on google find it?

-> Outlook 2007 Leave Mail On Server <-
