Yahoo email won't attach a Music File

Jan 26, 2015 2:08AM PST

Windows Vista. Google and Yahoo Mail.
When I am sending an e-mail using Yahoo Mail and Internet Explorer 9 it won't allow me to attach a music file to the email to be sent.
Allows attachments for Pictures and Documents but NOT music files.

If I use Google and Firefox the music files attach normally.

Thanks.

What if you rename the .MP3 to .PDF or .TXT?

Dropbox.

There are other free programs that do a similar job. In Dropbox you browse to your music file and click copy link. Then you paste that into your email and your friend gets the email and clicks on the link.

file requirements according to maximum size? Remember videos and music files are bigger then most pictures unless they are super high resolution.

My music files can be anything from 2.5 MB to 8.MB. Well within the allowed MB's.
Thanks but still no luck.

Re: mail

- If you use google mail (gmail?) in IE9 and Yahoo mail in Firefox, what happens?
- And what exactly does 'not allow' mean? I mean: you click the paperclip (or whatever), browse to the mp3 file, click "OK" (or "add" or whatever) and what happens then?

Yahoo email won;t attach a Music File

I have used Firefox with Google and the Music files attach without a problem
I just wonder why this problem suddenly started after years of no problem using Google
in Internet Explorer.

Who can I contact to maybe be abl;e to rectify this problem. Do you think it is a problem with IE9 ?
Thanks for your assistance.
