I just got the TV for $1350 from Dell (after a promo code I found via Google). I've hooked it up and it looks pretty decent out of the box, but I ordered the Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics Blu-Ray from Amazon. It should arrive early next week. Once I go through it and find the settings for me, I'll post them here.

OK I got the Blu-Ray last night and went through the calibration. Here is what I got. Keep in mind, that I am not a professional calibrator, so my results may not be perfect. Also since the test patterns were coming from my Blu-Ray player, they may compensate for irregularities in the output of my Blu-Ray player (Sony BDP-S570).

Main Picture Settings

Picture Mode: Custom
Backlight: 85 (this was fixed and I couldn't change it)
Brightness: 49
Contrast: 51
Color: 47
Tint: 0
Sharpness: 4

Size & Position

Horizontal Position: 30
Vertical Position: 13
Horizontal Size: 2
Vertical Size: 4

Color Temperature

Color Temperature: Normal
Red Gain: 133
Green Gain: 131
Blue Gain: 128
Red Offset: 128
Green Offset: 128
Blue Offset: 128

Advanced Picture

Smooth Motion Effect: Middle
Real Cinema Mode: Precision
Noise Reduction: Low
Color Enhancement: Off
Adaptive Lumina: Medium
Film Mode: Auto
Smart Dimming: On (probably why the backlight was unchangeable)
Ambient Light Sensor: Middle

Good luck everyone, and let me know how they look for you.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
