XPS720 Video Card

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I have a Dell XPS 720 with the original NVidia 8800GT video card. Lately, while playing any 3D intensive games my video card's fan gets very noisy, looks like GPU temperature is sky rocketing. It used to be fine few weeks ago. Is my video card about to die? Also, if I need to get a new video card, what would you recommend?

Ideas are usually:

1. Clean the heat sinks, fans and vents.
2. Pull the heat sink and replace the compound.
3. Leave the case cover off.
