XPS M1730 Processor Upgrade From T7500 to T9500

i have a dell xps m1730 which i am extremely happy with and have saved up for over many months. i unfortunately am not that well off and had t get a T7500 (Intel Core Duo 2.2 Ghz)however i have now got enough money to upgrade as i have been offered a new T9500 (Intel Core Duo 2.60GHz,6MB L2 Cache,800MHz) for

You should perhaps ask this in the Dell forum. However generally a Laptop CPU isn't upgradable.

i have already tried going though dell to get this infomation and proved unsuccessful and i am not worried about warrenties as mine is out of date

Same fsb so should work see if your freind will alow you to try it before you buy...

asuming the voltage is the same then should not hurt chip or laptop. Be very carefull when inseting chip, must not drop chip in to socket above 5mm. just make sure the chip is aligned and flat to socket.
