XPS Gen 1 vs XPS M170 vs XPS M1710

by Yasha I / July 21, 2006 11:15 AM PDT

Which would be best for processing power?

3.4 P4EE for XPS Gen 1
2.0 PM for XPS M170
1.83 CD for XPS M1710

Wihch would be better for gaming?
7800 GTX
7900 GS

it seems like the GTX would be better hence the X.

would the M170 or M1710 be worth 800 more?

the new m1710 is def better than all of them just do a google search and you will see the duo 1.83 is on par with a Pentium 3.8 in proc power as well as less heat than all of the others. The 512 nvidia is just not necessary and i think its a waste of money better spent on hd space etc. I have a m1710 with a 1.83 and 7900gs and this thing smokes for a laptop. Oblivion near maxed out, Fear at high res and quake iv at high settings great speed. GL RV

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
