XPS 410 not upgradeable to windows 7

Mar 19, 2011 8:10AM PDT

When I ran the checkup for windows 7 it said that the system could not be upgraded. It looks like all the parameters are there. I updated the BIOS. Why wouldn't it be upgradeable?
It came with Vista, 4 MB memory, large HD, etc

I wonder.

I wonder if what it said was "TRUE"? That is, some systems can't be upgraded but they have to be CLEAN INSTALLED. One is not the other.

Now while Dell does not supply drivers, this machine isn't that bizarre that I couldn't find drivers for the chipset and most of the video cards it used. I can't tell if the audio would work but it might.
