Xpize installation problem

by lightningboy7 / October 10, 2009 5:35 AM PDT

I want to use Xpize on my computer (link below) but when I start the installer, it says "xpize has detected that a previous installation has made changes to your computer that will take effect after restarting. You must restart your computer before you can run xpize setup." I tried restarting and got the same message.

On there website in the known issues section it has this issue listed. The solution for this problem is to "You can workaround this by adding the /ignoreCondition switch to the command-line for the installer. You can do this via Start > Run or in a cmd.exe session." I can't figure out how to do this. Can anyone help me?

Why not their forum?

xpize has its own board on the MSFN Forums. Please be courteous when asking questions or posting suggestions.

Not that these forums are not great but why not go to the forum where they talk about this?

1. You find out in what folder the install program is and how it is called. Say d:\install\winxp\setup.exe (on cd) or c:\users\Lightning Boy\Desktop\setup.msi (downloaded). The possible variations are endless. You're the only one to find out.

2. You open the command window.

3. You type "c:\users\Lightning Boy\Desktop\setup.msi"/ignoreCondition
(just copy paste)

4. Enter

Go for it.
