Xp wont connect to internet, and no sound???

by gengar250 / March 13, 2007 1:23 AM PDT

Dell 8100
Ram 1GB
HD 110GB

I upgraded to vista, my printer driver would not work with it and there are no plans for a vista driver for it, so i reinstalled XP.
Now it says there is no ethernet port when clearly there is and i could access the internet from vista and with Linux Ubuntu.

How do i get XP to recognize that port again?

its also doing the same thing for my sound card and sound worked fine on vista and works on Ubuntu?

any ideas?

XP doesn't come with most drivers that we need.

The drivers you are looking for are on the motherboard drivers disk or on your restore disk.
