XP won't detect the onboard video!!

Mar 29, 2005 3:14PM PST

Hi~ First time posting here

Here's a problem I have.
Reinstalled XP and it doesn't detect the onboard (VGA compatible) video.
I know have 640X480 and Color quality is 4bit. Wohooo!!
In device manager as "other device" with yellow question mark.
It's a *Legend Computer* > nothing on their website!
Winbond Motherboard > no luck here either.
At this point i'd be happy with any driver that would work.
M VGA Compatible driver. Shouldn't be this hard to find??
Anyone know of a driver that is most likely to work?
A "M VGA Compatible driver"!!

Thanks

Proper operation...

XP doesn't come with many drivers. The person who installs any version of Windows has to have their inventory of the machine and the collections of drivers ready.

It will be hard to find given your information so far. You might have to open the case and identify what's in the box.

From the Intel site....The video drivers were from the cpu chipset.

Drivers for my Motherboard?? Never heard of such a thing. > Thanks for telling me. I'm going to look into that.
But if all if working fine...need I bother??
