XP won't connect to internet

by jdpattillo / December 26, 2007 10:27 PM PST

I did a clean install of XP Home on a Velocity Micro desktop computer and I now cannot connect to the internet. Not sure if I'm missing drivers and I can't see any home networked computers. Has anyone had this problem? The computer is about six months old and came loaded with Vista which I did not want.

locating missing drivers

Any tips on where to find the missing drivers? I have a MAC that can access the net and download files.

Here's what you supplied. "Velocity Micro desktop computer"

Sorry but if you are expecting members to help in your driver search you may have to provide more detail. From memory didn't they give you driver CDs?

In reply to: Sorry no. Why?

Thanks for jogging my memory. I did indeed have discs that came with the computer and was able to install the needed drivers. Sometimes it's the little things.

Happy Holidays.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
