XP to 98se

i understand that winXP can be made to look like
win98se. how?

Not exactly but fairly close

You can set folder options to classic windows type. You can set display options to classic windows. You can set "visual affects" to adjust for best performance. You can set the "Start" menu to use Windows classic. There are several more possible tweaks as well.

Windows Classic is great

My WinXP SP2 is set as "Windows classic" as very much like Win2K.

You can find the setting at ?Start? > "Taskbar and Start Menu" > ?Start Menu? and in there select "Windows Classic".

I did some tweaks on Desktop as well and do look very close in appearance to previous versions of Windows.
