You are right. XP has 18%, Windows 8(.1) has 13.5%
However Windows 7 is at 56% still

Free support for Win 7 has been discontinued

Win 7 that worked for a load of people is obsolete although security updates will be available until 2020
Forcing Windows users into Win 8, 8.1 and Win 10 soon isn't smart even if it is making money. Friend called for weekly chat earlier. He's real pissed that the software he has won't run on new Win 8.1 computer forcing him to spend more money on a similar program.
I still have 2 Win XP computers, Win 7, Win 8.1, an old Vista laptop and Linux desktop. Linux is most reliable one so far even though it's about 10 yrs old
