XP SP2 - Install Intel Application Accelerator 2.3?

Nov 28, 2004 5:48PM PST

Hi. I've just reformatted my computer and reinstalled it with Windows XP Professional SP1, but later updated it to SP2.

I was wondering, should I still install the Intel Application Accelerator 2.3, or I shouldn't install it? My computer uses an Intel chipset, so the chipset is supported by IAA. Just that the IAA seems to be quite old, it's released in 2003 right?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Without the make/model of the motherboard, an answer true is not found.

Is closing, Windows XP was from before 2003 so it's quite old too.

It's a 845PE

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply.

My notebook (Dell Inspiron 5100) has the Intel 845PE Chipset.

At the Dell website, there is a Driver called Intel Mobile Chipset. I wonder, after installing that, should I still install Intel Application Accelerator?

Thanks.

You should install what Dell offers.
