xp professional sp3 backup/restore device

I'm running xp pro sp3 and when I try to to a backup the only device it will allow as an option is my 3.5 a: floppy which would require about 150 disks to backup...it won't allow me to change to either my cd rw drive or the dvd rw drive....i don't have the patience, time, or storage space to do my backups to floppy..please help

The included backup with XP dates back to the 90's. Ignore it and use anything else.

Most CD burning SW have with a back up option ..Nero SE does, Roxio SE..only specifys files.....as someone stated in another post download Macrium Reflect Free ver 4.2....from CNET....that is an imaging program , just like Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image. Seach back up omn CNET Downloads for other examples. I pick up Nero SE for $10. The SE versions are the free copy you get with most new PCs and CD/DVD Burners

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
