XP PROBLEMS, restore, updates, audio & vidieo,

Hello, I have a problem with my xp pro,first we got the computer from someone, we did'nt get a restore disk, my problem is that I can't do system restore when I try to do it nothing happens it says done but no restore points, the same thing happens when I try to do windows update. when I go to media player i get a message that says internal error. I went device manager and the display adapter is highlighted the sis 530/620 is not working and I can't get it to work and I forgot to mention that trouble shooting does not work either. if anyone can help me with a solution or where I can find a restore disk thank you

Until you get your license and XP CD in hand. It only gets worse if you try to repair without the CD.

The usual story is that someone gets a machine with a pirated XP Pro since that OS is about 300 bucks. You would not let them off so easily if you had a 300 buck item that was not delivered.
