Six simple questions.

1. Why did you (have to) do a clean install.
2. Any game = any game. Try Tetris from http://www.download.com/8301-2007_4-9889046-12.html. Does that work. That should prove your statement requires some nuances.
3. Did you install the latest version of your video and sound drivers. Some members forget it after a clean install and come complaining about their video and audio.
4. What are the relevant specs of your system. Relevant = CPU, RAM, video card.
5. Does your system (see #4) conform with the system requirements of the games you want to play? You can find them on the box, usually.
6. Did these games work on your machine before you did a reinstall of XP?

7. What's the error number (like 0x00000000) and the full text of the error message (without typos please) on the blue screen.
8. Go into the Event Viewer and tell us all it has to say about this error. BSOD's certainly show up in Event Viewer.
