Resolved Question

XP PRO SP3 will not recognize 1 TB Drive

Feb 20, 2012 7:46AM PST

Have built my own computer several years ago. Wanted to add more drive space. Currently have ASUS P5N-D Mother Board, 200 GB Maxtor Primary Drive. Added Western Digital Green 1 TB SATA Internal Hard. Bios sees the drive, XP Device Manager sees the drive and reports that it is working properly. The Problem is that I cannot see the drive in "My Computer" The drive is not formated yet. How do I access the Drive?

Click Start and then Help and Support and type in Disk Management. There are many tutorials about its use on the web if you need a tutorial.
