I have a new acer laptop with VISTA and a new lexmark printer. The driver was installed via CD Rom which included the XP driver. I am trying to uninstall the driver on vista so I can install the correct VISTA driver. Now, there was multiple copies of the XP driver installed in an attempt to get the printer to work before realizing I had the wrong driver. I uninstalled all driver except for one. VISTA tries to remove the printer driver but always fails- I go into the task manager and it always says it is not responding. So basically I can not install the new driver because I am unable to get the old one off. Can anyone advise on a meathod to remove the driver?? I went through the control panel- Add/Remover hardware and everything has proved to be unsuccessful. HELP! Thanks,
