Well, one, the router probably has a firewall in it, so you don't need ZoneAlarm.
Two, have you updated the router to the latest firmware?
My Windows XP SP2 machine keeps dropping the wireless LAN connection every few minutes. The Linksys router is connected to another PC upstairs. I have IEEE 802 authentication enabled and the EAP type is Protected EAP. I have ensured the network IP range is adequately trusted in Zone Alarm on the client machine, have turned off the native Windows Firewall and updated the driver on the wireless NIC as well. The WEP key is encrypted, and it seems that the problem started after I encrypted the key. Can anyone suggest any possible causes and solutions? Any and all help is greatly appreciated... Thanks!
