XP Password

Feb 13, 2009 11:16AM PST

Hi.....Started my computer running XP Professional...haven't started it in months. Everything booted up no errors..When I restarted it... it went to a password screen with my name on it is asking for the password. I never have put a password in my computer before. I tried safe mode with no luck. I really do not want to reformat the harddrive due to things I need off it...Any suggestions?

XP Pro asks to renew password. Since you never entered a password, leave the password and password confirmation field blank and press enter. It should sove your problem. You don'nt need to reformat or reinstall Win Xp.

Enjoy.
