If you can't boot from CD it's usually the BIOS setting, the CD had got old or is not a master on its own channel.
There are more such as bum XP CD but no, it's not RIS.

A friend of mine has a computer cafe. He had always brought his
computers to a shop, when it was needed reformatting due to virus
corruption, that reinstalled its pre-configured OS (tailored with games)
through an RIS server there. The problem is, I cannot reformat it now,
And I cannot boot it up from CD. Is this due to the installation made by
the RIS server, its consequences? Pls help...
