XP media center recovery

Feb 9, 2009 1:09PM PST

After a hard drive crash I am reloading my HP XP Media Center computer using the System Recovery disks. It took about 2 hours to load the 3 disks. Per the prompts, I restarted the pc and then put the Supplemental Recovery disk in. It goes through several restarts and then just sits there saying don't touch anything until prompted to restart. There is a program running called ProcessLogger.exe that counts down the time remaining. It starts at about 16 hours. Is this normal? After the 16 hours I can start Windows but it reverts back to the HP screen saying not to touch anything. Only 14 hours and 33 minutes left in this attempt. Any help is appreciated.....
