xp issues roxio creator 2009 windows explorer

I have an issue with windows xp ability to copy files by dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer and I suspect sonics roxio creator 2009 which I installed several years ago. The roxio product controls all the moving and copying of audio files which leads me to suspect it is the culprit in my issue. I tried uninstalling the roxio product to no avail. Their customer support considers it a legacy product and tries to sell me a current product. I was born in the morning but not this morning!

Any help re-instituting this windows feature would be greatly appreciated.

One of the things about Windows is when an app stops working right we get to uninstall it and reinstall it. Hope you tried that.

And furthermore, such problems are common after using registry cleaners. Just another lesson learned.
