xp home re instalation

hi ive owned my lap top from new but it came with xp home pre installed it got a product key on the base but i never got a disk i want to do a fresh install as its slow how do i do this with no disk?

or do i have to buy a new copy of xp which seems a bit unfair
any info will be greatly recived

Most asked you to create the restore CD.

If you failed to do that you call it's maker and pay for the restore CDs. Much cheaper than a full copy of XP and certainly a lot less work to install this old OS.

Your Laptop probably has a built in restore partition

On your laptop when you power it on, does it give you an option to push a certain button to restore? If so, thats your Windows XP Disk. It should have also given you an option to create a set of recovery disks on your own....
