XP Home on a Toshiba NB255 Netbook ?

Is there a way to install XP Home on a Toshiba Netbook 255 as either the only OS or a dual boot OS ?

How do I back up the original configuration and software ?

But about backup. Just recently I wanted to test out Linux so I used CLONEZILLA to save the existing install to a file on an external hard disk drive. With that out of the way I was free to experiment with the netbook.

As to XP the only thing you need to do next is to find all the drivers. Ask Toshiba but be aware that support for this 10+ year old OS is gone. That is, there is little to no reason for this today. Yes you can argue but it is gone. Moving on.

Be sure to make your install plan. Today's SATA drives create a lot of the initial issues but you know that.

The first time I set up a SATA drive was when I built my last desk top. It was a PITA at first.

What's on it now?

I see it's being sold with Windows 7 Starter edition. That's what you have?

W7 Starter

Yeah, it has Windows 7 Starter.

I'm going to check on restore cd's/DVD's too.
