Lately I've noticed that I am experiencing these split-second freezes. Everything halts for less than a half-second every 2-3 seconds. After about a 30-second period of this, the freezes will stop for a few minutes and then start again.

1. You had a share to another machine and now that machine is offline. Fix? Right click on the network neighborhood and disconnect all shares.
