xp downgrade on new system

I'm about to order a new computer (Dell XPS 630, specced for graphics/gaming), and I was just wondering how hard it is to downgrade to XP from a brand new computer with Vista.

Or, how much would having Vista hinder gaming, since that's the main reason for the computer upgrade?

For reference, the processor is this one: Intel

On some models it's a free downgrade.

Check for drivers

Find out about as much of the hardware as you can, and then check to see if there are XP drivers for any/all of it. That will tell you what the odds of success with the XP option is.
