The XP Backup utility hangs up before it completes a backup. How can I correct this?

B/U utility that comes with XP because it is problematic.
If you want a good free backup utility use this one.

Thanx for the info. I wanted to fix the problem if possible instead of having to install yet more software to sub for Windows utilities. But I understand this may be more trouble than it's worth. Thanx again.

Here's my short list of what I use.
1. SYNCBACK.
2. CDBURNERXP.
Syncback is just what I wanted to make a quick copy of my stuff to external drives, FTP sites, etc.

Thanx for answering Bob. I'm getting the message that what I'm trying to do is more trouble than it's worth. I'll try another Backup strategy.
