XP and drivers

Feb 1, 2005 1:39AM PST

Just yesterday upgraded from windows 98se to XP. Now I am having trouble locating the drivers for my printer (HP PhotoSmart 1000) I have the printing software cd for windows 98 and windows 2000 and have also downloaded from the HP website but I keep getting a missing file "hp2ku04.dll" error message. Any ideas? Thanks John.
Windows XP, IE 6.0 256mbram

All you need to do is go to the HP web site and click on drivers. Put in the name of your printer and select XP as the operating system. XP is very particular how USB devices are installed. If you don't do it right, they won't work. You need to install the software first. Once that is completed, plug in the printer and turn it on. The computer should find it and install the drivers.
