Maybe they heard our voices.

My brand new HP with Vista is sitting in the corner unplugged. I gave up trying to downgrade to XP. I went and bought another HP with XP Pro. I contacted HP and to their credit they offered to buy it back. Since it came with a nice 19 inch widescreen that I am using, I will just put it away until I can get the drivers to downgrade. It?s a loaded computer and I just couldn?t deal with Vista problems any longer. When I can get XP on it will be another family computer.

All my complaints about Vista were met with replies such as Vista is is here and XP will not be supported after a certain date. It looks like they may be rethinking it.

Some of the latest hardware will never have XP drivers-its almost as if MS and the hardware people held numerous meetings to find ways and establish barriers to prevent this.
