xp admin user file lock out

by mklau / December 14, 2004 1:07 AM PST

I am having trouble to access my own a/c in xp with password protected. Few days ago my system couldn't boot up. Some system file was missing. It gets to the win xp logo screen then reboot itself. I tried to reinstall the system files but still no luck. There was one I logged in but win xp give me a new a/c with the pervious one still locked. I know there is a file in c:\windows\system\system32\config\security that deals with pwd. I have a secondary HD. When I try to access my a/c as a slave it tells me it is protected. I know my pwd is there any way I can access to the files in the a/c (ex. my doc)? Any help is appericated. Thank you

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
