XP activation crap

I have bought Windows XP and installed on a computer with "Mobile Racks". It was ok for 2 racks, but now on the third one it tells me I have to phone Microsoft for reactivation. What shall that B...S...? Does it mean that I have to by another Windows-CD to be able to install it on ONE computer?

Your choice.

But this is how it is today. You have a legit license so reactivation will be fine.

XP activation

Hi Proffitt
Does it mean I can only have two HDDs at the same time or I can add some drives?
And is reactivation a free call?

It was an 800 number presented the times I've seen it.

It activates on hardware changes. If you swap things around, it happens.

I usually don't have to call, I let it activate over the internet. Since mine are legitimate I also register mine as well.

I'm unsure what the issue here is. If you want to rant, go ahead, but if you want an activation free OS, then don't use XP.
