XL files

I saved my xls files to disc. they are now xlr files and will not open. How do I get them back.

That sounds more like Microsoft WORKS files.

- What happened when you used File>Open in Excel.
- Are the files just renamed (then rename them back) or converted to another format? If the creation date is still the same as when you saved them, most likely they are just renamed. If converted, convert them back or use the correct version from your backup.
- How exactly did you save your xls-files to disc?
