Xitami Web Server help

Sep 25, 2004 12:56AM PDT

Hi, I've started using the Xitami web server and i'm having problems with it. Everytime I click the 'start' button to start it, it says "Could not open port 80 - protocol not known (No error)". I am behind a router, though I've tried to have it configured and my firewall is not doing it. Can anyone else help me with this? Thanks Happy

Sorry, I never have used that one. I will share that I have used Apache on/off for years and never had much struggle with it.

Have you configured the router for DMZ and allowed that PC's address access to the net? If it's like most routers, the router address is 192.168.0.1. The PC in question will have an address like 192.168.0.xxx. You have to allow that PC to receive from the net.
