The "lag" will be there in any system. I wrote that the USB lag is a fraction of the USB 1.1 lag. The USB 1.1 lag is so bad that you can't play the game. USB 2.0 lag is about 40 milliseconds or so. Even the screen display can have that much time from a pixel on to pixel off time, so in my opinion its about as good as it can get for a non-card solution.

I know this has been discussed a couple other times, but I never found a clear answer. Does using a USB 2.0 video capture device get rid of the lag when trying to play a video game console like xbox on a laptop monitor? I've experienced the lag with USB 1.1 and playing with that is pointless. I've been unable to find a PC card video capture device, and would like to know if someone knows for sure whether or not USB 2.0 works for this purpose. thanks
