xbox hd cables?

Jan 19, 2007 11:45AM PST

Hi I just bought the 400 hd cables for my original xbox. It is the one with the 5 chords. I have all of the needed ports on my tv, but I just cant get it to work. I plug them all in the right places, but I get no picture just sound. I have done everything right, and it wont work!! I called Monster a few times and they all said to go to the xbox dashboard and change the video settings. When I tried switching to widescreen it didnt make a difference. ERRRRR I need these to work!!

If you are there is a switch on the actual cable itself close to your xbox that switchs from high def to standard...if its not the 360 i didnt know they even make cables for them

When you went into the dashboard did you change the video settings to not only widescreen but also told the xbox which HD resolutions your tv supports? Other than the part with the switch on the cable the other poster mentioned there isn't really anything else you need to do to get HD on your Xbox.

For some reason when I go into the dashboard with my regular cables, All it has is widescreen, which I select, but there is no option to change the resolution. Maybe with the monster cables plugged in it gives that option, but I cant see anything so I dont know.
