Xbox 360 NAT

Jan 9, 2010 1:15AM PST

Ok, so this problem has been occurring for quite a long time now. I finally decided to make an account somewhere and create a thread.
Specs: Century Link(formally Embarq) 660 Series modem
WNDR3300 Wireless router with 4 ports
Internet is high speed DSL
Everything is wired connection. No wireless.

I've tried doing the whole UpNp thing and to no avail. I've heard of this port forwarding, but I don't know if that will help. Please can someone help????

That's not the problem

That's not the problem, but what you think is the cause of the problem. What is it you cannot do that prompted you to post? You left that out of your first, and subsequent, posts. Forget what you think the root of the problem is, what are you trying to do that you are unable to?

I am trying to connect to my friend on Xbox Live. I am unable to do so. I ran an "Xbox live network test" and it says I can connect to XBL, but I'll be restricted in some ways: unable to join friends, play games, etc. THAT is my problem.

Help?

This doesn't really help me. Does it? I'm not much of a tech guy. Is the gist of that thread supposed to say not to use that router?
