Xbox 360 connection cables?

Jul 4, 2007 1:17PM PDT

Which are the best cables to get? I have surround sound and 1080i TV.
Is there some sort of VGA/optical combo cable? And if so could I please have the name of it. Thanks!

I assume your 1080i HDTV has component inputs so get the 360 cable made my Microsoft called "HD cable". Then get a digital optical audio cable for the sound so you can use your 5.1 surround sound system.

Why would you not use the cables that came with the 360? I have the premium 360 and it came with HDTV input cables, should I be using different ones or am I misunderstanding the question? (I have HD TV but not 1080)

The AV cable that comes with the premium 360 is what you want to use, but MS does not include a digital optical audio cable to get 5.1 sound on your home theater system. You will need to buy that separately.
