General discussion

X50 or X50V

Mar 30, 2005 12:12PM PST

I'm looking to purchase a handheld. I'm in sales, and will use the device to store product details, inventory photo's and details, contacts, sales lead management, appointments, caculate financing payments, I'll probably be viewing some spreadsheets, and doing some web browsing. While I may use the device to view the occation video clip, I know I don't need the VGA for multimedia purposes, but I'm wondering to what extent it will be beneficial for business type apps.

Many get very upset when they can't find the application...

Being new to the Pocket PC world, I'm going to make an assumption from your previous post... I take it that sme applications will not be available for the X50v VGA model, so I should be sure everything I want to use is available on the model I decide to purchase. Good advice I'll keep that in mind.

Does anyone here have a X50v... I'm still quite curious how much I'd benefit from it's incresed resolution. The price difference between the X50 and X50v is quite small.

I've only seen it and the vga option for viewing web pages is really a great thing. I noted the application issues since you listed some specific wants, and having seen a few end up in desk drawers...
