Question

X-Trap causes BSOD?

Dec 15, 2014 11:20AM PST

Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone knows a way around X-Trap. It is an "anti-hacking" tool some games use, however it rarely gets updated and as a result is not compatible with windows 8. As a result i am unable to play a few games that my friends do and would like to join them but i do not know a way around this. Whenever i play any game that utilizes X-Trap it eventually results in a BSOD and the error message "XDVAann.sys" which through googling i found to be a result of X-Trap. The only thing i have tried is running the game in compatibility mode but that did not work, as the issue is X-Trap itself. i suppose this may be hard to understand especially if one hasnt encountered this issue themself. If you have any questions I'd gladly help in answering them.. i dont really know what information people need in order to help

Thank you so much!

Simply no.

My son filled me in on it. The entire "thing" is designed for no way around it. These things tend to get corrected on their own since the game loses following until they feel the pinch from no money or low player counts.

There's a lot of other games out there.
