After some investigation I resolved the WXGA vs WSXGA+ question.
The Pavilion only comes in WXGA, WSXGA+, and WUGA.
If you have WXGA your resolutions will adjust down to 800 x 600. If you have WSXGA+ your resolutions adjust down to 1024 x 768. If you have WUGA your resolutions will adjust down to 1280 x 800.
At Circuit City I could not find anything with higher than WXGA 1280 x 800 on HP computers. But, I adjusted the resolutions on a ZT3010. It looked OK to me in all resolutions, 1280 x 800 WXGA and through all the resolutions to 800 x 600. The lower the resolution, the more graininess and larger size of objects. It behaved the same as any PC I have owned.
The reason for this question: If you accept the notebook from FEDEX it is harder to return for a replacement or refund. If you tell FEDEX to return it to HP, they will credit your account as soon as FEDEX reflects the return (about 4 hours) in their computer.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
