Wrong Firmware on LCD TV

Apr 9, 2011 11:00PM PDT

Hi

Not sure if anyone can help. I have a Samsung LA46A550 TV and incorrectly installed firmware for a LA46C550 (from the Samsung website). When I inserted the USB stick and went through the upgrade process it asked me if I want to upgrade from 1013 to 1022. After the upgrade process finished it tried to restart the TV. All the TV does now is just try and turn on but with no success. There is the flashing standby light but after a few seconds it stops and tries again. After a half dozen it stops and the standby light is no longer lit.

Is there anything I can do to reload old firmware?

Thanks

Evan

ejpenny,

In this case, you will most likely require a repair. Unfortunately I don't have any troubleshooting that I can offer for loading the wrong firmware.

I'd recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center in your region for further assistance.
