The battery life (not to be confused with run time) is about 3 times longer on the Asus k55n ds81 and I see it on amazon for 380 bucks.
So that's two of your requirements it seems unless you really didn't mean the life span of the battery.
I've been having a hard time finding good advice on buying a laptop for writing so I thought I'd post here. I'd really appreciate any suggestions on devices to buy.
What I want is a cheap (<$400, hopefully significantly less), portable laptop with long battery life and word processing functionality and as little else as possible. Little or no online functionality is ideal (although I do need either a USB port or limited online functionality for occasional data transfer). A full-sized keyboard is necessary (so probably ~13inch). Essentially I'm looking for a typewriter for the modern day.
I don't expect there's anything out there that suits me perfectly but are there any compromises?
Thanks in advance for the help,
