I don't know many that can properly install XP. My suspicion is that the OS is not installed right. I can't tell you how much better than the machine's maker or may be able to point out a missed step but your post is too light on detail. Your choice about that but I'm sure you know the end is near. Not only support is going away but folk that support XP are shutting down.

MS Windows XP Home Edition; WP 12.0.0.602: Reloaded XP and then all my programs; now, WP12 takes several minutes (!) to load, is very slow when attempting to run a macro, and doesn't "keep" my Tools Keyboard designated setting; most other programs load about as quickly as they did previously; I've reloaded WP several times, cleaned the registry, reloaded, but remains slow; have suspicion that my hard drive is getting sick, but am not techie enough to actually figure that out. Any thoughts? Many thanks.
