General discussion

Wow, things are degrading here fast

Jun 23, 2008 6:27AM PDT

I'm experiencing many, many, many problems across the Cnet forums web pages. Time to shut down the system for a few days maintenance. Time for a fresh installation of the software I'd say. Can't log in without repeated attempts, content fails to load, Html content isn't there and getting worse, links to Cnet through Windows mail failing, etc., etc., etc...... I'm not having these problems on other sites.

Do as you'd like but it's time for a major repair.

This thread untracked.

that pressing the "submit post" button doesn't often work and hasn't for some time I've developed the habit of testing them by clicking the "Forum real-time activity" button to double check that there being submitted at all. That's why I saw your post.

Links are failing to outside web sites, this happens often. I need to double check them before submitting the links by using the "preview post" button.

Dango, I always had problems logging in. Since 2005 I have never logged out from CNET. I only gain access through my bookmark to their site.
I know my posts will not be counted. Who cares how many posts are numbered.
I think Bob Proffitt has the most posts of anyone here on CNET.
Two zillion, 800 million posts.
Poor Bob must be worn out! :
