Wow... No AVAST users.

I used to use AVG bacause its good and its free, but I think AVAST might be better and its free.

You're right. Avast is excellent. I use both, as I just purchased a laptop for travel photos on long trips.
I also like the interesting interface on Avast, but I would be hard pressed to choose between them. AVG 7 is also an excellent choice.
Haven't found anything to complain about on either program.

I have Avast on one of my computers, but also have ZoneAlarm (free) as well as a hardware firewall in a Netgear router. It's hard to tell if Avast is better or worse than F-Prot (paid) which is on my second computer. The combination keeps me protected - no attacks ever registered. I might put Avast on the second machine and save the annual fees.
