Would you still wanna buy from Samsung?

Mar 20, 2017 11:36AM PDT

Ever since the nige 7 catastrophe and several cases indicating their product flaws, my faith in them has been totally lost(the most ironical, I was nust gonna start a whole new change to nump into an all-Samsung world.

From what I've seen lately in forums on Samsung products, I'd avoid them for awhile, including the TV's.

Why I don't buy their phones, TVs and appliances.

1. Phones. Samsung tends to alter/tinker with Android too deeply. Their Knox app for example has had folk lose what they didn't backup. And they don't always carry over old apps to the new devices. (calendar for example.)

2. TVs. Their Smart TV is well known about tracking and more. Not only that but it's limitations outweigh the attractions for me. I expected better. For example their web browser can be bested by a PC 2 decades old.

3. Appliances. There are some hit and miss issues with them and slow service due to parts. Check the Samsung forums for yelps about stoves that don't reach temperature and fridges in warranty that can't be repaired for long periods because of part shortages.

#2 - One reason I always buy the "dumb" TV and hook to my computer.

#3 - Lets not forget the'stinky refrigerator' problem Samsung has too.

so what brand of fridges do you buy?

It is funny in today's world

Because we have a Frigidaire glasstop stove and a HotPoint Refrigerator. We've had no problems with the 2 door refrigerator (25 cf with water thru door), but twice had to replace oven pad at $200 each time on the stove. Next stove will be some other brand.

Originally Hotpoint made only stoves and Frigidaire only made refrigeration products like AC, etc.
