hello all, new to the site. i read all 300+ post regarding the IR issues with the 850 series. my question is, would you still have purchased this tv knowing all? what would have been your plan B? i was going to pull the trigger on the 850 for my new verizon fios HD, until i read all post. does this issue regard the 46a860 (blue color) ? now I'm looking into the sony 46xbr6. please comment. thank you all in advance.

traverse198,

I can appreciate how overwhelming reading 300 posts might be, but you know what? I'm glad they're here.

Not everybody with an LNxxA850 had an issue with the IR. While many people did, we did find the source of the issue and fixed it.

I do hope some people post their responses; though, some are thankful and have noted the picture quality is outstanding on these units in those threads.

Thanks for logging in, and I hope you get some good responses.
