I think the days of desktop PCs have passed.

I do own an Intel NUC which is working great as an media PC. But I could look at those PCs on a stick if I knew the video performance was good enough. Figure not long till all of them can play 1080p from a network drive.

But the other use of a desktop today is the gamer systems. For that if you build your own I like https://www.reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace/wiki/builds

Beware those spammers that spam a kickstarter Mac Pro clone. They are not here to help you.

What do I use 99% of the time? Laptop.

I prefer a desktop.
I don't need it to be portable.
I have the space.
I can config the innards just about any way I want.

What sort of things do you want to run?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
